I heard the singles when they came out in 1985/86..got the LP in 88...liked it then ..much more appreciate it now in 2024...in an era of autotune and dull bland melodies... thank goodness there was a time when the melody was king..... probably his best album post the police.. thats another topic in itself..hope you are reading this Sting... wish all new artist could make this sort of music...wishful thinking..he had stiff competition from Paul Simon... Prince...Phil Collins. Simply Red. Fine young cannibals. George Micheal..simple minds. 80s U2... Go West.. Level 42.. hue and cry. Sade.. paul young...tears for fears...list is endless in the 80s

One of the best albums of the 80s. Thanks Mom, for having the vinyl of this and turning me onto this shit when I was a kid. I love Stings solo career albums more than The Police. He has soul, depth and a beautiful voice.
